Homemade headers, nice price or crack pipe
1 Attachment(s)
A local seller says these are hand made, no brand, headers for 100.00. I do not know much about headers that the ROI for power is not so great considering the cost and difficulty of the install so I basically haven't really considered them. However, at 100.00 that ROI becomes a bit more palatable. I can wait to install till I have my clutch put in. Have a look and tell me what you think. Should I or shouldn't I? Nice price or crack pipe?

What's ROI? They look like eBay headers that are handmade in china.

Sorry. "ROI" stands for Return On Investment.

they dont seem to be hand made...they do just look like some type of knock off...headers nor really worth it imo..better things to spend money on

are flanges meant to be bowed like that?
|
No sure if these are home or factory made? I am certain replacing OEM exhaust manifold will not HURT performance.
|
sure look like megan racing headers to me...
|
for that price i'd give them a try

Any shots of what the collector looks like inside?

Meh, I think I'll pass. I keep reading too much about how headers have to be just right to match up with other bolt ons but the real gains with headers only come from cams and other internal mods. I plan to eventually go FI by starting out with a spare long block then build it up. If I do that then I won't skimp on headers.
Right now I have a 1/2" Motordyne spacer, JWT intake and just bought an ExoticSpeed R1-T exhaust. I may buy HF cats but for now the easy stuff is out of the way so I'll get a tune then call it a day till I start my FI project. Thanks for your input, fellas. You saved me from buying a 100.00 paper weight. |
