Default My latest dyno runs! Shows header gains!

Here are my numbers from todays dynos. We first ran just the Crawford Package. Then tried the latest TS Flash (still needs work) and then we added the JWT pop charger. Here are the charts.

Here is baseline, plenum, plenum+headers+cats.

Here is the above Crawford Package with other mods (JWT pop charger and Technosquare ECU)

Did not see the same HP gains as others with the JWT but it sounds KILLER!!!!! I think I may keep it . . .but a box will be soon to come. I have to keep my ram air.

With a better catback exhaust setup that popcharger may help a little more. Would be interesting to see the difference. Would also be interesting to know how much an aftermarket catback would gain in your case where the headers and cats have already been upgraded. Any plans for an exhaust upgrade in the near future?

Did you monitor the A/F ratio when doing the dynos? I was wondering what was happening to it when you added the popcharger with the stock ECU and also when you just added the TS ECU.

Yes we have the A/F readings, it never wend below 13.1 and probably averaged 13.3. Its still lean with or with out the ECU. I cant say the POP charger helped or hurt it. I need more fuel.

I really like the stock exhaust. The only replacement I would consider is the Nismo.

Too many decisions to make . . . wheels, flywheel, exhaust?

Correct - They are header and high-flow cat.

If you're going to go under and do the headers, it would be silly not to do the cats at the same time.

Which nearly every person who has ordered headers, has requested cats as well.

Nice results. Is the car much louder than stock?

What is the general opinion on nismo headers vs crawford? Anyone have dyno data of just the nismos and HF cats like he did with the crawford?

NISMOs are nice... make fair power - GREAT constructions and quality.

Crawford's are of equal quality and contruction - makes great power - and once cams are on - BLOW the NISMO's away.

... the info is based on FACT which MJEDENS will be sharing soon. The NISMOs were holding back a LOT of torque that Mike made up, once he went to the Crawford headers.

very nice work.

looks to me like the Plenum alone added 8 hp at peak, and about 12-14 at higher RPMs-->redline.

looks to me like it gained 12 more HP with addition of Headers and cats, BUT this is a little decieving, since, if you look closely at the peak, there is a very small and quick peak that spikes and drops down, so I bet it is really close to 10 hp (still a good gain). the biggest deal with the this mos seems to be that it gains HP throughout the whole RPM range, that is impressive.

the torque gains on both mods look good as well

another interesting note seems to be that the plenum alone doesn't add a lot of HP til about 5,500, BUT it adds a lot of torque down low, starting at about 2,300.

what can be concluded about the JWT with this dyno??? is the K&N drop in just as good, how do they commpare to stock???

this is important to me, since I already have the plenum and wouldn't want to waste money on the JWT if the gains are not there.

thanks in advance

i cant really see the dyno numbers on my palm pilot phone. but 12 rwhop from cats AND headers?

or only cats? the RT's have been adding 10 on their own...

are they SAE or Actual Horse Power numbers?

i think it is hard to show the true gains of headers on our car with the original cats... and when dynoing with both headers and cats added...

i think most of the gain we are seeing is frm the cats.. even with other headers / cat combinatins.

I thought the RT has been adding like 5-6, you are saying 10???? (so what are test pipes adding, I have heard 7 and some say 11??)

Owners with RTs and Nismo headers have been netting no more than 8-10 peak.

You have to remember that he is running stock exhaust which may be playing a part in the overall numbers. It is so hard to tell specific gains for certain parts when other parts can play a role in the overall gains one will see. Most people put on an aftermarket exhaust before any other mod or close to the first mod. This is the first Dyno I can remember with headers, HF cats and stock exhaust on the back end. Would really be interesting to see the gains with a dual exhaust now with this setup to see how much the stock catback is actually restricting things.
