Motordyne Shockwave TDX v2.

My Back-Order wasn't too long of a process I think I ordered the first week of the month and it shipped on the 26th and came in today.

Looks so beautiful, though I'm not entirely sure how happy I am about the tips being attached by set screws?

Either my buddy is gonna bring over some jack stands and his tools on Friday and we're going to put it on, or I'm gonna go the easy way and take it to an exhaust shop and have them do it.

Anyway, pics or it didn't happen.

The tips being attached by the screws allows you to change them to the titanium or the straight edge should you wish to (can be ordered from Motordyne) - they also allow you to choose how far out you want the tips to come, so I think it's actually a benefit rather than a negative.

You'll love the sound - congrats on the purchase!

I mean I kind of understand why they are done that way, but to get them tight enough to hold will it not crush the attaching pipe a bit?

Came with this in the box.
I got a good laugh out of it.

It will bend it some..not much (I installed mine 2 weeks ago)...it was a lot louder than I was expecting but you will like it. Make sure you space the m brace down or you will hit it. On mine I had to loosen the clamps on resonator lift it up with a jack (wood on it so not to dent it) and then tighten clamps to keep it off the brace. Congrats on it!!

Good advice thank you.
I can't wait to hear it in person.

Not the same as in person.....but here is teaser. Art pipes and tdx2

Congrats on the purchase man

I've heard nothing but good things about Motordyne/this exhaust

They're HQ is about an hour away from me so I'll be driving there sometime in the near future to pick up a resonated XYZ pipe since I'm single-exit

Be sure to take plenty of pics during/after install for us lol

I had noticed that no one has done a write up on install yet. So if my bud brings his jack stands (or if I just go buy some) I may try to take neough pics to do a write-up for the DIY section.

Though I might be cussing too much about removing a 10 year old exhaust to remember to take pics :suicide:

nice purchase man. I want to get the same exhaust myself.

Jesus, I've listened to some other sound clips. But listening to another now just makes me restless...

On jack stands it will be tricky to get good shots.

Kinda what I'm thinking but hey I'll give it a go. Maybe

You'll love it.

If you're thinking of getting the ART pipes, this is my favorite video that explains the sound (in-cabin):

I know what you mean...

Muffler/exhaust shops make it look so easy... My guy took off my stock exhaust in less than a minute lmao

If only i had spent 1600 on a car lift instead of on the exhaust.
Though then I wouldn't have the exhaust.

I wonder if I bought a lift and installed it in my car port if I could rent it out to DIY'ers in town...

Honestly if there are auto shops (especially muffler/exhaust shops) in your area I would visit some smaller ones and ask if you could pay them to use their lift during a normally slow time. I've done it in the past, small businesses owned and run by auto enthusiasts are a dime a dozen out here. No matter what good luck!
