Who's ready to buy Kinetix plenum now?

Put me down for one and the high flow cats. I want to get an idea on how big the waiting list is going to be, a headcount basically. Only post if you're ready to buy NOW.

I am READY to buy now, however I think I am gonna go with the RT cats.

Nothing personal, but I think this should be posted by Lsdunique WHEN he is ready to take orders. Anyone can put down... I am ready, I want one.... then when the FINAL price comes out, a LOT of people all of a sudden won't have money.

Let lsdunique post a price and a release date. The "I want ones" will order as soon as they can.

Why are you going with the RT cats? Are they cheaper in price?

Can't go wrong with RT cats. :)

mofoz Feb 10, 2004 10:19 AM

Kinetix's are cheaper, and i cant seem to tell the difference between nismo/kinetix/RT other than price and name.

ZIABLO Feb 10, 2004 10:23 AM

I'm waiting for more dynos.

None taken, again this is just to get an idea on how big the list of perspective buyers. Judging from the responses on All bark's dyno results, there's going to be a huge waiting list of buyers. It seems like there's only a handfull that are satisfied with the results and are willing to buy now. There's still a lot of skeptics out here..

There's actually been 9 dyno runs done with the plenum.

ares Feb 10, 2004 05:05 PM

yes, but all on a single car, that is moderatly modified and a variable of the cats.

theres tons of dynos on the crawford plenum as well, but not everyone beleives them.

all bark did a great service to the community, and great work by kinetix letting him test it. but 1 test subject does not yeild a 100% definitive conclusion. but it will get the word out and a few will try it out and then we'll have even more data.

ChrisMCagle Feb 10, 2004 05:37 PM

Yeah

Ares,

You are right. But, with that said...

I am on the list with cash in hand for the CATS and Plenum. :D

I'm ready to buy "now". I know I should wait until the product is offered by the manufacturer, but hopefully they are reading this post and are recording the names of those who are legitimately ready to purchase their product. This is truly a unique event for us all as we have been watching, some of us impatiently, the development of this product. Thanks for offering all of us yet another alternative in the aftermarket realm of Z mods.

Shalopay Feb 10, 2004 06:48 PM

I'm in and ready to buy.

hyperxmr2 Feb 10, 2004 07:26 PM

ready

Da Gimp Feb 10, 2004 09:31 PM

Depends on the price...if they are $300 I'll buy now. If they are $400 like I think they are going to be I'll probably have to hold off.

Does your setup have the RT buzziness that I have heard on several sound clips of Z's??? I personally dislike the raspiness that I have with my test pipes, and it doesn't sound like the RT cats are much better. It seems that they are also too small to dampen that annoying buzzing sound from our VQ. Just to play it safe, I would recommend any other cat (Kinetics, Crawford, ...) before the RT's.
