Isn't there an easier way to solve the plenum debate!!!
 

Why can't someone run some times with it. I know different 60ft and reaction time and all that junk considering I know nothing about running at the track.

Can't someone run 6 runs, take average 0-60 and average quarter mile times throwing out the times that are really off.

They can do this with each plenum. See who improves most vs. stock.

Or can't a 5AT just run some times with one of the OBD device thingies with each plenum and compare times to stock, crawford and kinetix. They can do all sorts of things with those devices.


Just step on the gas.

Trying to take driver error/skill out of it.

Dynos, no one believes them if they don't produce the result that person was looking for.

best test would be back to back dyno or drag strip on the same car with each plenum and with stock one.

It's much easier to dyno them on the same car over the course of the same day. At least that takes out one more variable, which is driver error.

Of course a guy with the crawford plenum on order would like the threads to stop.

I have no ties to Crawford whatsoever. Even if I didn't have the plenum on order, enough is enough. 50% of the threads in this forum are similar and discussion could be consolidated to a handful.

Not much different from every other product out there. There are a million threads on about 6 different subjects. That's how it is. Just say, "Search, mofo!!"

This is soooo dumb.... These to Plenums are making just about the same power!!! +/- a few HP which can be dyno error or diffrent mods on a car.. There is no real proof of which is "better".. I see no big deal about this other then it is plastic and might weight 4 Lbs lighter.. People have been with Crawford for a long time now that there is something new everyone wants one... Im happy that they got the project done and there product worked out. But as far as all this big deal all it proves is Plenums realy make power not just a Crawford thing.. As a Crawford customer I just ordered the ver 5 which fixes all the lil things that I wasnt happy with... Does that make me hate on the new kid on the block... No but just like exhausts its all personal preferance.

well the easiest way would be to take the information that is already out there and make your own informed decision

or you can wait, if there is not enough info out there...until you feel you that you have the information necessary to make a good decision

if you want to expediate the process in helping to get that information out there...then volunteer your time and money

I agree. an independent dyno on the "same car" and "same dyno jet" would tells all.
