Z1 M-Spec RACE Intake w/ Z1 Velocity Stack

The install requires modification to the crash bar for clearance, but I was able to install Z1's high flow filter onto my 350z this weekend. The high flow intake package consists of a 3" maf dummy section, velocity stack, and 6" K&N style filter. My cammed DE makes 300 whp at 6k rpm, and winds down to ~282 at 7k. The objective was increase top-end power, and as far as I can tell, the objective's been accomplished - and then some! (no dyno's unfortunately)

Old, busted - 3" K&N
New hotness - 6" filter with velocity stock.

I washed my z today, so I've included a picture just because. Now, to save up money for wheels, shocks, etc, done deal.

Not sure what you mean. The red filter's a K&N. The blue one is a spare, used filter that would have been thrown in the trash, but was useful for test-fitting.

K&N filters are terrible, they are poor at doing the one thing they are supposed to do.

New video covering the intake on my 350z. Z1 m-spec + velocity stack = good times.
