R/T cats to Crawford cats
Wondering if anyone has switched from R/T's to Crawford cats. On another post can350z changed from the R/T's to LaBree's.
If so, how much of a difference in sound with the Crawford cats? |
hey dave, so if you do change it out, how much would you sell them for? is the r/t's what caused your exhaust to scrape?
|
I think it was more of my driveway/eibach pro-kit. After installing the Nismo S-tune's, all is well:D

i just changed from rt to crawford cats because the rt
cat blew out. you won't regret it. It's noticibly quieter. rob |

Originally posted by N4Spd i just changed from rt to crawford cats because the rt cat blew out. you won't regret it. It's noticibly quieter. rob was it a bunch more quiet? what about the buzz/rasp...any difference after going crawford? tia:D |
The rt cats were a little rough (i guess raspy) at low RPMs
but I didn't mind because they flowed so well (in comparison tests I've read about). The crawford has a deep but smoother sound, even at lower rpms. Now that my rt cats have blown (less than 1 year, 5k miles), I'm more than happy with crawfords... hopefully that also means more time on the road than in the shop... enjoy, rob Originally posted by wakaZ thanks for the info rob. :icon04: was it a bunch more quiet? what about the buzz/rasp...any difference after going crawford? tia:D |
thanks rob:D

Dave,
Guess you'll be switching out the R/T eh? I will be getting my installed soon. You're welcome to listen to them when they're installed. |
Cool Frank, we can do a side by side sound test:D
|
Do you think you are getting the same power with the crawfords as the RT cats, I am considering both along with kinetix in third.
|
No crawford flow less than R/T cats. Kinetix has the lowest Flow out of these 2
