actually it is identical to Fujitsubo, which is one of the best y pipes out there, they did a very nice job indeed..

Well, I understand what you guys are saying about the leaning out of the fuel mixture. I have to wonder if this would be the effect on every Z.

Also, we have not seen gains like this from any full exhaust on the market. Why would this item lean out the mixture and gain so much power, when even the true dual exhausts have not shown this big of a gain in power? Are the catback exhausts leaving something out, cause these results put the need of them in question and make you want to just keep the stock exhaust. Anyone test this with FI?

BTW, it does look a whole lot like the Fujitsubo Y-pipe, but they only advertise a 5 rwhp gain.

very similar, but not identical....

i have the full fujitsubo system (catback with Y,) just installed on my G....

notice the missing crossbalancer tube?? is it design, cost, or performance that caused it's moission on the UT version?? (or all the above?)



either way, the welds look awesome!! and the F&F appears to be top shelf!! (the fuji is about the same, but they dont have a polished Y pipe..

this reinforces my belief in the fuji i bought..... over TD systems for sure (on the vQ)

Whatever little I know about exhaust systems is that the cats are the most restrictive part. Yet, people that replace the OEM cats with free flowing test pipes don't get nearly the gain of this Y-pipe. Am I missing something here???

No you're not missing anything. The y pipe will help, but it's not going to change A/F dramatically and certainly not enough to provide safe HP gains.

One should expect a 5-8 HPish gain at the wheels on a good entire cat back replacement. The y pipe alone will never produce those kinds of gains on this car.

Obviously these dyno charts should be taken with the same grain of salt that you would with any vendor posting dynos.

It looks great buy I'll bet my car against yours that this y pipe nets anything better than 5 HP at the wheels on a N/A Z or G, run on a dyno by a third party in controlled experimental conditions.
