Don't know what Exhaust to buy. Please Help!

I was wondering if anybody can refer me to a good exhaust. I'm thinking if I should just get the can or the full thing. I don't want the thing to loud, just the same as stock sound but with the performance.

I have an Injen CAI and I'm trying to match up a good exhaust with it. Please any info will help.

Thanks.

Borla True Dual is a very good choice. If you don't like super loud, but deep, nice tone exhaust and true dual exhaust, Borla is the way to go. It also has stockish, subtle design with great power gains. Price range? usually ~$720 shipped.

Injen Straight Tip Exhaust looks also nice for the buck, similar price range, but quite louder. However, nice power gains and also true dual exhaust.

If you are a Baller, try some JDM Titanium Exhausts such as Fujitsubo Ti, or Amuse R1 Ti exhausts. Their price is ridiculous, ($2000) but gosh they look beautiful and sound so badazz!
In this case, you will need separte Y-pipe to compliment the entire exhaust system. (These exhausts are not true dual, and these are only catback so you will need separate Y-pipe if you want decent gains.) There are bunch of Y-pipes out there on the market, just go to vendor classified section and visit their website!

I bought Borla True Dual last summer and while I love its sound and decent gain, the only downside for me was its too plain and stockish look IMO. Other than that, it's a great exhaust!

I'm personally waiting for New Invidia Exhaust. It has a Titanium Tips, (all other parts SS) True dual and decent price range. ($1000 shipped by Jeff@Evolution, site sponser, vendor)

You can't go wrong with Nismo true dual cat back exhaust. No question about the fit, comes with a Nissan warranty and the sound is awsome.

i'd suggest nismo (for a more stock look and sound) or the injen (for somthing a little more outrageous)

check out www.kurumaz.com for prices. ;)

I love my stillen exhaust. has a rasp due to no cats..but you can DEFINITELY feel the hp increase. but just the normal catback sounds stock, just a lil louder..very nice... :D

It's dual tip, but not true dual.

I will get Greddy EVO II, if I want true dual

The new APS true dual look pretty nice.

If you want the stock look, I would just get a y-pipe. Much cheaper than a full exhaust and most of the gains from catback exhausts are from replacing the y-pipe.

I would go with the borla if you don't really want to increase the sound

If you want a close to stock sound, just a little deeper, go with the Fujitsubo Legalis R. I have added the Y-pipe, R/T cats and headers and the sound is VERY mild but sounds great. Do the same on the Nismo and Jason at Performance Nissan can tell you that it is too loud. Just a thought.

Just get rid of the sissy plastic side skirts and put a set of chromed lake pipes on it.

Just kidding. Seriously, the stock exhaust isn't bad, install higher flow cats and you'll have your power without all the noise.

Hey I just want to thank everybody for your comments on helping me. I just bought my exhaust today from Performance Nissan in Duarte, CA and I got it pretty cheap. I decided to get the NIsmo catback and after the installation I fired that bad boy up and I loved it. Thanks for all the help.

Lets have a So. Cal meet anybody interested?

Cheap solution: Flowmaster 80 series ($100.00)
Full cat back..I LOVE the sound/look of NISMO

No exhaust will give you much in the way of HP/TQ gains

Gtloans, how difficult was it to install the Nismo catback system? I just ordered mine from Performance Nissan last night. I sure hope it sounds good. Is there a noticeable difference from the stock system? Thanks

It was real easy to install, just be sure you jack up the car high enough to be comfortable moving around while underneath the car, it took about an hour to install...I think I installed it pretty fast considering I don't do this kind of stuff as a profession.

The look and sound is incredible, it sounds mean...I took it for a spin last night and some other Z pulled up to me on the freeway and gave me props... all and all...it was worth the money and the time to get that sucker in.

Go with the Stillen True Dual. I love mine. Nice deep sound, not too loud tho. It's great. Has some of the best gains in BOTH hp and tq of any the exhausts. Just my .02
