06 + Modified Bi-Xenon Headlights

Up for grabs is my pair of modified 06+ headlights.

Originally purchased separately from fellow my350z members a while back then had them modified by another member of this forum.

Shortly after the lights were installed moisture started building up in one of them, I went out of the country for a few months and when I got back the light was worse at which point they where removed and stored. Since I don't know a lot about taking these apart and fixing them I ended up just buying another set from a friend and moving on. My loss = your gain.

The Good:
-Headlights have been modified and painted gloss black.
-Includes 5000k upgraded HID bulbs.
-LED Demon Eyes installed on the inside of the projector (blue) and only visible when turned on.
-Includes wireless remote kit with keyfob for the Demon Eyes (can also be programmed to the HomeLink in your rear view mirror.)
-One headlight (Passengers Side) is in great shape and fully functional with no leaks.
-Both headlights have no broken tabs.

The Bad:
-No one realized that one of the lights (Drivers Side) had a small crack on the side of the housing until it was installed and moisture started to creep in and mess it up. Tried to fix it with resin to no avail.
-Both headlights have light to medium surface scratches from normal use, damaged headlight has slightly more but nothing major and only noticeable up close.
-Damaged light has a hazy inner lens from moisture build up and gloss black paint is chipping in some spots.
-On damaged light the high and low beam motor, side amber LED lights and LED demon eyes still work however the ballast and turn signal bulb burnt out from the moisture and will need to be replaced in order to have everything functional again (about $50-$75 total to replace those broken parts.) Damaged ballast will be included in case you want to try and fix it. Condition of HID bulb is unknown.

For someone who knows how to repair these lights this is a great deal. You can simply patch the cracked housing or replace it, install a new ballast and turn signal bulb, remove and buff out the lens, repaint the inside in gloss black then seal it all up, good to go.

A pair of modified 06+ lights for a fraction of the cost!

Price: SOLD

Lights will be shipping in factory Nissan boxes with insurance and delivery confirmation.

PayPal is accepted!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

On my way to NJ at the moment for work but ill be back tomorrow, as soon as I get home I will snap a picture for you and send a PM with the shipping info.

The crack is small like a hairline thats why it went unnoticed until the lights where installed. Not much to see right now since it is covered over with resin in an attempt to try and fix it but if your looking directly at the light the crack is located on the right side where the long plastic piece meets the housing.

If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks!

No this was the only attempt we made to repair it, maybe also sealing it from the inside (other side of the crack) would fix it, not sure?

reptile718 11-20-2011 05:43 AM
