Nissan's *fix* for tire feathering/roar sounds like a patch so my question is....
...has anyone really fixed the problem? I've seen a few threads where people said that upgrading to Michlins's or other brands has elimitated the "roar" but for how long? Will it return when the tire starts to wear? Is there REALLY a permanent fix for this suspension problem?

There's about 2398730948752340957 threads on this but in short, I don't know of any 2005's with the problem. I had my 2003 aligned over a year ago and have had no problems since. Set 1 = 7000 miles, set 2 = 11000 and still LOTS of life left

The reason I ask is I'm about to purchase an 03' and the tires will need to be replaced. I'll take the car to the local dealer for the obligatory recall alignment but I sure as hell don't want to have to buy new tires every year if I don't have to. |
If it's done right, you'll be fine. Mine are probably only 1/3 worn so I'm expecting another 2 years from them

I got the letter and took it in for inspection and the tires are wearing just fine after about 10K miles! I had them replaced for feathering and alignment done at 15K miles, now at 25K. Could it be fixed??? That would be cool.
