Are these problems primarily on early z's?

Like the title says, are these problems listed in this forum lostly low vin/early cars? I was dead set on buying a z in about three months, but if these problems are persisting on cars produced now, then I am going to have to rethink tht plan :(

You need to tell us what problems you are referring too.

You also have to realize that problems are much more visible than happy people. When you read these forums, you tend to get a slanted view, because you only see the problem posts.

My car has nothing I'd consider serious wrong with it in 3500 miles. The only thing I've really had to gripe about was the bounce on some roads that is just the way the suspension was designed. I have kind of a light vibration issue that may be a tire balance thing, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Mainly referring to the tire "feathering" issue and transmision issues (i.e. grinding gears) - other issues are not tht big of a deal (the paint chipping i think is due to new formulation of water based paints and is not 350z specific).

I realize that this area of the forum is sample biased, and was hoping to hear from members that had recently acquired their cars and hearing if they had any of the issues described above. The only thing about recent cars is that they might not have had the time to see if there is unusual tire wear and whatnot.

Problem cars or Problem People

You can make some of the people happy...........
If this is the only forum you read, you will never buy a Nissan product.
I have had my 350Z since November and, yes, there are some minor imperfections (not problems). But I love the car so much, I can ignore them.
I do agree if the tire issue is legit that Nissan needs to step up and take care of it......but all new car makes carry a seperate warranty on tires and usually the dealer sends you to a tire store to get them replaced.
I have had 8 Nissans from Sentra to Pathfinder to Z.
Maybe it's because of my local dealer, but I won't even consider another make.
