P0127 Itake Temp Too High
 

Ok guys I have a question. Please help me out if you can. My GF's car, a 2002 Sentra, has a cel that has been there quite sometime. It is P0127, intake temp too high. Since it is a common cel across Nissan's line up, I was wondering if anyone else has had this cel, and what did you do to fix it. I took the IAT sensor out and cleaned it, but still got a "pending" P0127 code. I wonder if replacing the sensor all together would/could solve this? Thanks again for any help.:)

I agree it's probably time to replace the intake air temp sensor. Have you priced them yet? Are they expensive?

watch the ecu's on those they kick random codes when they go bad, try swapping the IAT with another car's......or get one from the yard

I d think they are all that expensive, I think no more than $30.00 or so. As far as the ECM, yes, you are spot on!. However, it has already been replaced under warranty/recall campaign, so it has to be the sensor itself. Thanks for the help guys. After I replace it, I will let you know it it was that or if I will need to start looking at possible frayed or otherwise damaged/broken wires.

the recall was to remove foam from the ecm caseing itself, the glue from the back of the foam was vaporizing and settling back down in the ecm itself. causing codes.

either way if what you're trying doesn't work, I can send you an ecm to test with (at your shipping cost). I have 4 sitting at work right now, all with different codes.

b15's are notorius for ecm's, headgskets, and maf's

Thanks guys! Igot it! I replaced the IAT sensor, and all is well. No more cels. Thanks very much for the gesture of sending me an ECM to test. That was awesome. Thanks again to all that replied.;)
