I got another Z but it didn't come with the wireless alarm remote
 

Guys (and gals),

I've searched the threads and cannot find a solution to this. I recently got another Z (previous one totaled) and it did not come with a remote for the alarm / trunk / panic button. Here's the question, how do you turn off the car alarm when it is going off without the remote? This happened in my apartment complex at 12am (3 times) and I didn't know what to do. I tried starting the car, and it was still going off. I even tried putting it in reverse and then back in park. People must;ve been thinking I was drunk!

Also, where should I go to get a factory remote? Websites? Used? Dealer?

Please help - I just picked it up this evening. :)

HAHAHA as I was reading this, there is an advertisement for www.originalkeyless.com at the top of the page. says, "up to 90% off factory keyless entry remotes." I figured it was a sign and felt inclined to respond...

Thanks I picked one up. Damn im scared to lock the car now!!! Im going to wait till tomorrow afternoon. lol

if possible, i'd still like someone to tell me how to disable it without a remote. just for knowledge. thank you!

Did you try locking/unlocking the car with the key?

i was sitting in the car when i took out the key from the ignition. i was getting some things together inside the car. then when i unlocked it, it started going off and i had to just wait it out unfortunately.


anyone know how to just turn it off w/o the remote?

Put the key in the door with it closed and turn it.
