I think spending alot of money on wiper blades is worthless to someone like me who lives in the north. The winter weather is going to take a beating on them. From the bladess freezing to the windshield, to the blade scraping over bumps of ice on the glass. I dont mind replacing them every two years.

I had the Bosch ones for a few months then they started to seperate. I have had really good luck with the rain x ones. They have been on my car for 2 winters now when driving in snow and ice.

Cheap'o ones! I install a new pair every 6 to 9 mos., so I
always have a brand new set that do a FINE job! I don't care WHO manufactures them, extreme heat and cold WILL
make 'em brittle, & go bad. At $2.59/pair, you just can't beat that!

PIAA silicone here too. I put them on after the OEMs were about 6-8 months old. I have a '05 with 75,000 miles on it and still have the same blades on and they work like brand new. Leaves a silicone coating on the windshield and works just like Rain-x. I love how the water just beads right up. Follow the instructions in the package about cleaning the windshield and running the blades in for 5 minutes when you put them on and you can't possibly go wrong. I don't know if they come in refills but buy the whole wiper. If you don't have a nice parts store nearby get them at the Tirerack web site. If they seem expensive consider how many cheap $12-16 dollar sets I would have gone through by now!
