I don't care what ya've heard. Use this stuff or something similar to do the cleaning. I'm all about working smarter, not harder....

Saved!
Got home tonight after 12 hour shift, it's dark out, I'm in an apt complex in Vegas....and the drivers side window won't go up. At that moment I'm wondering if I should remove a wheel so I'll have a car in the morning. 😆 Jumped on here and found this thread. The tip to hold the switch "up" and slam the door worked! Now I can get some sleep tonight! Tomorrow I'll replace the motor. Your instructions are so clear that I am optimistic I can do this! Thanks so so much!

Motor or not the motor .... 350Z Convertible 2008. Drivers side window went down (with ragtop opening sequence). Went for a drive and when stopped noticed a clicking and motor wiring sound from drivers door. Returned home turned off ignition and the motor window motor was still running (trying to do something ?). I disconnected the battery / reconnected a few minutes later and window came up. I rolled the window down again and the window stayed down. Took the door apart and ran the motor off the regulator. Motor turned both ways. Reassembled and motor and regulator and while it would lower the window it would not raise window up. The only way I could raise the window was with a 3/8 bit drive in the regulator socket and ratchet it up. Is it possible the motor will still turn (with no load) but when reassembled doesn't have the torque to push the window up ? Thinking of buying s new motor but wanted to know if there is any other trouble shooting I can do.
