OEM battery lasts forever.

Well not forever but 54 months and counting. Baltimore reaches 90 degrees in the summer, and below freezing in the winter. These temperatures can be tough on a battery.

In fact my battery has outlasted tires, brakes and window motors.

VandyZ 07-01-2008 07:55 AM

mine lasted 3 years 40K miles

Your time is coming ;)

Risky_Business 07-01-2008 07:55 AM

Good...

to know. I am approaching 36 months and may just change mine out of fear of getting stuck in the middle of Baltimore. J/k I was just there a month ago or so on my way down south.:icon38:

I'm in Colorado and we certainly have extremes of temperature variance from season-to-season. The OEM battery lasted for five good years, but when it went there was little warning. It was just dead as a doornail! A new battery brought everything back, but there is a lifespan to be aware of.

You're the exception - not the rule. Typically, all you'll get is about 3 years out of most batteries.

HondaKiller 07-01-2008 09:37 AM

yeah mine made it just passed the 40k/3 1/2 years

It didn't drop like a stone though, it slowly faded untill my car wouldn't fire up with ease when turning the key. It would struggle but the damn thing was working when i junked her :)

In a month:

robertinmesa 07-01-2008 05:58 PM

dcmaxclub 07-01-2008 09:26 PM

mine lasted until last month, roughly 5 years 68,000 miles... Baltimore MD and DC

r0csfinest 07-01-2008 09:31 PM

By the looks of it... My car still has the OEM Nissan battery :dunno:

It's an 03 and has about 67.5k on the clock.

HOping mine lasts till my Z is 5 years old, can't see it happening though. The battery in the GF's Maxima lasted 36 months and 1 day, just out of warranty.
