VDC just stopped working, now the button doesn't do anything
 

I was driving the other day and this jackass in front of me braked really hard, so I stalled. I restarted right away, and tried to pull away but the car started losing power. Now my VDC is permanently not working and the light doesn't come on or off when I hit the button. I know its off because it was treacherous last night driving back, fun, but definitely not working, any ideas
