Another car won't start thread
 

Drove the car around town this morning running errands. Parked it in the driveway, car sat 1 hour. Tried to start it, dash lights came on, depressed the clutch and turned key and everything went out. I heard a electrical spark sound. Left key in igintion, off

Popped the hood, checked battery connection, battery is a year old (AutoZone), put volt meter on battery reads +12.5. Next thing I hear is the dinging sound when the key is left in the ingintion. Repeated step one and received the same results.

Checked fuses near battery, traced wires, jiggled wires. Heard the dinging sound again, repeated step one and still no joy. Everything goes blank. It erased info on gauges and radio. Acts like a dead battery. Could it be an alternator or is there other fuses I should be looking at?

It's an 03, basically stock, no other problems to date. Any suggestions? Also, for those who like to flame, yes, I researched this forum and the engine, no similiar starter issues.

I read out the wires (pos/neg), it ended up being a bad neg (battery) wire.
