I know this thread is super, but always still super helpful. However, just curious, Im a little old school, and OCD, but mainly OCD, does anyone know of a downloadable PDF version? I'm interested in printing and binding so I can have a hard copy in the garage.

1. Go to the link http://www.nicoclub.com/manuals/350Z/

2. Click through the directories to get to your car

3. Create a directory on your computer to put the .pdf files in

4. Right click and hit save as and download each .pdf file into the directory you created in Step 3.

5. The easiest way to index through the pages is to make a desktop shortcut to fwd.pdf or idx.pdf

6. Drink a beer

Good luck printing it out. It's like eleventy billion pages long.

Folks, a bit of a bummer, but they just posted a notice on the NICOclub website that reads:

"In March 2018, Nissan North America (NNA) served notice upon NICOclub that the documents contained herein infringe upon the intellectual property rights of Nissan and demanded we immediately disable access to the contents of Nissan Service Manuals and Infiniti Service Manuals"

If your FSM is still available, I recommend you download it NOW, before it goes down; there's a strong chance that it will no longer be available soon.

As of today, the, the 350Z FSMs are still available at the last link I posted:

Since Nissan is now asserting its copyright on the FSMs, in order to get a "legal" copy, you'll need to buy it directly from the manufacturer here:

A 24-hour "purchase subscription" will cost $20 and will allow you to download as many FSMs and TSBs as your bandwidth will allow. If you're slow, like me, a 30-day subscription is $75.

I just wanted to mirror what I said in another non-sticky thread about how to get your hands (legally) on a Nissan FSM:

Go to the link at https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/ and click on the View Nissan Publications box.

Under the Search Publications section, choose the appropriate selections from the drop down menus, then click on "Search"

You'll see your model year's service manual pop up as a selection with three icons next to it: one that looks like an eyeball with a red cross through it, one that looks like a CD-ROM and one that looks like a book. Click on the eyeball with the red cross through it and it'll send you to the Online Subscriptions page.

From here, you'll see a Table of Online Subscription Rates.
1. One Year Subscription $720.00
2. 90 day Subscription $225.00
3. 30 day Subscription $75.00
4. One day Subscription $19.99

Click on the one you want and it will send you to an End User License Agreement that you'll have to accept. From there, you can proceed with the purchase and download all of the .pdf documents that collectively form your Factory Service Manual (FSM).

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader, click on idx.pdf or fwd.pdf to get to a main FSM directory. The file names vary from year to year. As long as your one day subscription is active, have a look at the TSBs and all the other stuff you can download for your car. I'd recommend doing this on a weekend when you have time to collect everything you want.

Please, allow me to interpret what Nissan is attempting to construe for the lay person.
To all who wish to work on their own ****, attempting to bypass our mechanical facilities and/or replacing oem parts with much better aftermarket ones, from Nissan/Infiniti to you, kiss our asses!!!
I'll be going with something domestic the next time around. Already sent them an email telling them to jog on. Not sure what that means but I love Hot Fuzz.

I respectfully disagree with just about everything you said. Most car manufacturers keep tight control over their intellectual copyrighted materials and Nissan does not want to forfeit theirs by allowing websites to bypass what is clearly an infringement of the relative statutes. Domestic car companies are equally, if not more assertive with regard to this. Ford fought with scan tool manufacturers (i.e., Snap-On, OTC, Autel, etc.) for many years over patent and copyright infringement based on the illegal copying of data used in proprietary factory scan tool equipment. Professional scan tools are so expensive because of the licensing fees they have to pay to keep the tools up to date, which then gets passed on to the consumer.

Nissan has every right to pull in the reigns on where their maintenance information is sourced from. As the creator of these FSMs, car companies like Nissan could face tort litigation if they knowingly allowed (particularly in-house, as NICOclub attests) old information that is no longer accurate to circulate with regard to the repair of the vehicles they manufacture. By limiting the source of these records to their own website (at a more than reasonable price, I might add,) Nissan accepts the risk that the information in their FSMs is up to date and based on the latest maintenance standards that the company follows.

Finally, to address your OEM vs. aftermarket parts argument, what you're arguing is bunch of hogwash and has been debunked ad nauseam in these forums. As far as what kind of car you're going to buy next is concerned, buy whatever you want. It's entirely your decision and has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Pending future development with regard to the availability of FSMs, maybe it would be best to keep personal opinions off this Maintenance Forum sticky and post them here instead:

Are you serious? Did you really spend all that time to write this just for little old me or do you work for Nissan? Sounds like you've got some skin in the game. I wish I had some of your time.
I have opinions. They are mine. You may disagree all day long and frankly my dear zakmartin, I don't give a damn.
The gentleman from nicoclub bought all the service manuals and shared them with all who wished to use them freely. What a great guy and loyal Nissan fan with quite the collection of old Nissan autos. That's the country I love and this is the sort of person I want to be when I grow up.
The more people that share your state of mind, the less free this country becomes as the tighter their *** becomes Damn shame.
Oh, and to the oem vs aftermarket comment, I'm not arguing anything tough guy. Not sure where you got "arguing" from. My opinion based upon what I've replaced on my car. By the way, are you the thought police?

Laws are VERY subjective to say the least. That's why we live in such a lovely litigation orgy of a society. Nobody agrees but eventually, right or wrong, somebody wins.
No emotion. I'm a cold, dead fish. Now I'm a sad, cold & dead fish because I had to spend more of my time locating a fsm for free, which I did btw and which I did because I'm not only a cold, dead fish but a cheap one to boot! How long was the fsm's on nicoclub for? Many years. Damn shame. There's a few more minutes.

I don't disagree with you that it is a shame that NICOclub can't carry the FSMs anymore because that was an extremely valuable resource. However, there is enough case law on copyright infringement on the books for matters such as these that it can be fairly stated that this is more black and white than it is gray.

I've tried to offer a reasonable legal alternative to obtaining a FSM now that websites have been put on notice that Nissan North America is asserting privilege and you can basically take it or leave it. As long as your actions don't jeopardize my350z.com or put you in conflict with its terms of service, and you can get a FSM under a different methodology, then more power to you.
