Help Cousin's Z is rough idleing/dieing.
 

MY cousins 03 Z, is rough idleing, and when we keep it on for 10 mins it makes a wierd noise and turns off. And when we turn it on, and put it into 1st gear to try to get off the line the car dies again. What do you guys think it can be?

alternator? thats a complete guess though.

Wouldn't be the alternator. Find out where the noise is coming from. Do you have a check engine light on? I'm new to these Z's, but could be an idle air control problem also.
