No cabin power, won't start, battery good.

Hey guys, before I begin I wanted to say I did search for this issue, but didn't find anything.

Anyway, the other night I was going home and pushed the clutch in I guess half way to start the car and it completely locked up the electrical for a short time. After I opened the door and then closed it again the power came back and started fine.

Ever since that day I have been having trouble starting the car at times, only randomly this issue happens. Sometimes I get ACC power to the cabin (lights, gauges, etc) comes on but when I click over to ignition it completely kills the electrical system and I get no power, even after I take the key out completely and attempt again.

I know the battery is good because I had replaced it not too long ago, also I checked the fuses by the battery and everything seems good. But I haven't checked the cabin fuses, but would this be a fuse problem anyway since the car starts sometimes?

Is this a relay problem, electrical short?

Please advise and thanks in advance.

Could the BCM be bad (as in shorted out)? Can't be the ignition switch can it?

Have you used one of these? It's the first thing you should do with a problem like this. Are your battery cable clamps good, clean and tight?

I haven't but I will try, the only problem is this trouble only started AFTER I messed up pressing the clutch pedal half way and trying to start. The pedal was not fully to the floor when I started it and cut power the first time, that's why I am fearing a short somewhere.

Thanks for the reply.

It's the terminal connectors, imo.

i agree terminal connectors at battery, check to make sure there is no corrosion and that there good and tight..

Nothing at the terminals, fuses are good. I cleaned the terminals, I went ahead and reset the ECU with the battery pull during cleaning of coarse so lets see how long it lasts. I will keep you guys posted.
