Default Car blew up today

I was driving home on the high way today when my cruise control kept cutting out. Then the tachometer started to jump up and down. The cruise control light started to flash and the traction control lights came on, along with slip indicator.

I tried to get home since it was poring rain outside. The speedometer and tachometer then quit and the transmission (automatic) started to shift real hard. I got the car home and after I left it sit awhile started it again and the car seemed to be working fine. I decided to get it over to the dealer so I had my wife follow me there. While I was in route ever single gauge quit working.

At least I was able to drop it off at Carmax. I'm glad it came with a warranty. Anyone got an idea of what is going on?

Wow, extremely misleading thread title, I was expecting pictures of metal shards or an explosion of some sorts.

I posted it on my way from dropping it off so I was pretty upset. I could have chosen a better title, I apologize for that. However, calling me retarded is not cool.

However, asking if you can count to potato IS.

Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully they'll take care of you.

I'm thinking it's the alternator, lose ground, or at worst the computer. I'll see what they find out. Here a bad pic I took of the indicator lights. What is funny is the only one not on is the engine light.

The mention of "dealership" scares the bucks out of my wallet. Hope it is not too much
Actually since you had in mind posting here for some ideas, you could have waited and see if it is something simple you could fix. Right now no matter what guys say here, you are still at the mercy of the stealership
