My Z won't start...need some advice.
 

So yesterday my Z was very slow to turn over when I first started it in the morning...I went and filled up on gas since I was on E and again, when I left the gas station it was slow to turn over. So after going to the phone store cuz my stinking phone broke, to no avail it didn't start this time... Just a one click after I turn the key then nothing...A guy got his jumper cables out and after about 10 times turning my key it squeeled and started. Took it to autozone, got a new battery after it was tested. Now it won't start again. The guys at autozone are no help. Any ideas right now would be great! I'm about to tow it over to firestone to have them diagnose the problem instead of spending 120 on a starter, and not knowing if that is the problem or not. So any help I'd appreciate.

Are the cables tight on the battery? You should not be able to move them at all.

they're on real tight. Still won't start...A couple of people have told me the starter. I think I'm going to try and replace it and see if that works.

No, if it's the starter it will just click; not be slow to turn over. A starter is not matching your symptoms. A starter is all all or nothing deal; it will either start or it will just click when you turn the key.

Bump, same thing has been happening to me over the last month. Today it finally wouldn't start at all. How old is your Z? What about the alternator? Check its belt tension too.

Do you have electric power when you turn the key onto acc? Sounds like an alternator.

It was the starter my friends. Got it replaced. Just like normal now...Weird how it just quit on me like that though.
