Need help with a "car won't start" Diagnosis
Hey guys,
I have an 03z that won't start or crank. I had a friend of a friend and supposedly a good(self-proclaimed) electrical mechanic try to help me. Basically at the time I knew it was my clutch safety switch and was just going to have him confirm that it was. He proceeded to use a small open ended wire and inputted them into each end of the starter plug that goes into the safety switch (should've stopped him there). The car started fine that night but in the next morning, the car would not start when using the same trick. It's now a much bigger problem and I'm hoping if you guys have any idea what it is now. It doesn't make a clicking noise and I have tried to jump start. I was thinking it might be a relay somewhere in the circuit but I have no idea where to look (can't read electrical diagrams). Definitely my mistake to let something like this happen. If it helps that dude won't be going near my car anytime soon :icon22:. Any insight from this forum would be great thanks |
check fuses, if it was a bare wire it may have found ground and blew fuse powering it. Also if you have a multimeter read what the battery voltage is before and when trying to start

I've checked all the fuses they are OK. I do have a multimeter so do I check if the battery changes voltage during start?

OP, did you ever find the solution to this?
