Trouble shifting when cold
A couple of weeks ago I got my transmission and differential fluid changed and now I am having trouble getting the car to shift when I first start driving. When I first start the car it goes into first without and problem and no noise, but when I try to shift to 2nd it does not want to get out of first and it is hard to get into second and sometimes it grinds. Once in 2nd gear if I try to go back into first like when at a stop sign it is extrememly difficult to get the car to go into first gear. I have searched and found some information relating it to syncros but I'm not sure. If anyone could offer any insight on how to fix the problem I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

maybe, but I doubt it. The 75w-85 weight which is mentioned in the manual is a hard to find weight usually whereas the 75w-90 weight (not as good as 75w85 in the winter - maybe that's your problem?) is more readily available. When it comes to oils and fluids NEVER trust the shop to use their own. Just supply your own. Since you honestly don't know what fluid is in there, I say buy some Nissan 75w-85 from the dealer and swap it out. That's what I would do.

Every manual car I've driven does the same thing don't worry about it. You should of asked the shop what oil they used since they checked the manual. If they actually did they would of answered with the what oil used

Mine does the same thing and has been for a while now. It's not every time it's cold.. but when the temperature is under lets say.. 45 degrees F or so, it happens a majority of the time.
Personally, I never even worried much about it, doesn't seem like too big of a deal to me.

Do the gear oil and diff fluid soon! I just did mine, and it shifts really nice now when warmed up.

I am having the same exact problem with my 2006 manual transmission!
before; the transmission was very smooth (winter and summer); once Nissan decided to change my transmission oil; i started to have this type of problem its like the transmission is fighting with me ; once its warm; the problem is almost gone.
i should conciser changing the MT oil again?! am not sure which thickness is best for my country hot summer
