Default Steering Wheel Vibration

Have had my Z for about 9 months now. When I got it it had a vibration in the Steering Wheel like the tires were unbalanced. I had them balanced, but the vibration remained. I just got new tires put on and the vibration still remains. I guess my question is, is this just normal behavior of the Z or do you think I have a problem?

At what speed do you feel the vibration? What year is your car? Check your alignment.

Probably due to a bent wheel, this is not normal

It's an 06 model does it the worst at around 75-80 MPH. It's not real bad just a slight annoying vibration.

I will check the bearings tomorrow and if they are good then I guess it's time for a new set of wheels!

If it was the wheel bearings I would think there'd be some noise with it and it wouldn't just be at that speed range. I think Waizzz hit the nail on the head. I would also get an alignment as stated above.

I'd check to see if any of the wheels were bent while driving.

Have a similar issue. Carried over with different wheels. I have pulled on my wheels when car is lifted and feel no play for a bad wheel bearing... Thoughts? Can a bad alignment cause this?

bump, having a vibration as well. had tires balanced twice now.. vibration still there. replaced my cracked hubcentric rings with some aluminum ones.. still there. checked the wheels thoroughly for any visible dents and can't see any at all.

any ideas? best way to check if the wheel is "true round" or whatever you call it?

shot steering rack bushings or anything of that sort?

wheel bearings are fine

Have you check alignment? Last year my wife's car had excessive toe-in that caused vibration at 65+.
