Trunk won't stay open!
Hi guys, I just recently purchased a used 350Z and just today when I was using the trunk, I realized it couldn't stay up by itself. It is missing a spring on one side that doesn't allow it to open normally but when I get it opened the two hydraulic lifts do not seem to lock to keep the trunk open. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance! |
Lol you're probably going to get flamed, however...you need new hatch shocks. ebay or anywhere..
|
yeah the stock hatch struts tend to fail over time.. get the Z1 motorsports upgraded hatch struts.. only $60 bucks and a world of difference.

Mine doesn't work well when it's cold. A reminder that my car is 5 years old.

Purchase a Louisville slugger. That'll keep it open.

I've seen someone did that. But which part do I hook that on?

That dang rear hatch has fallen on my head so many times...
With all the concussions I got from it, I keep forgetting the Hatch Struts are worn, and get another concussion.... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....1fc593feb1.gif And every time Katherine revs up the Microwave... I piss my pants and forget who I am for an hour.. Sincerely, Eddie |
