Won't start at times
 

Hello Forum i have a 2003 350z and sometimes after driving I can get back in the car after 30 minutes and it want crank then if I wait for about ten minutes it would crank right up. It seem like there is no gas or ignition spark the engine just keep turning over but not starting.

Take it to an auto parts store and have your charging system checked - it's usually a free service. Your battery might be on the way out. That's how the OEM battery in my '08 went last November,

@K51's explanation could certainly be the cause. If your battery is going, it can still rebound slightly allowing you to start the car after it sits for awhile.

If the battery checks out OK, the problem might be fuel delivery (too little or too much) when starting the car. Do you depress your accelerator when starting the car?

Re-reading the OP's description, I'm now a bit confused. Does the starter engage and turn over the engine at a reasonable rate? If so it's not the battery. But, you said two different things: "it want crank", and also "the engine just keep turning over but not starting" Which is correct? Both?

So… The starter was obviously operational; the problem is no spark or fuel.

If it cranks at normal speed and won't start, look at the red LED on your dash up next to the window. If it is on solid it's probably your OEM security system. You will learn to hate it if it is. Search for threads on NATS (that's the Nissan security system). Your description was a little confusing though so catch us up on what you mean.
