I'm having starting problems. 04 350z

Can some one tell me whats going on. The battery, alternator, and starter check out but sometimes has starting problems. Its quite embarrassing when at times the car will keep cranking till it starts or it starts right up but its a very weak start were it sounds like it's struggling to start, almost like its trying not to die while starting. Any ideas?

Are you giving it gas while it is trying to turn over?

If there is no 'check engine' light, you should check your fuel pressure.

I did have to change out the fuel pump and the driver side floater, since when I got the car we noticed both floaters were broken. They are both from Nissan. Did the mechanics have to do something in order to make sure the pressure is right?
Also it does have a after marker fuel system feeding off the stock fuel pump its from APS or APC cant remember. But they attached to the new fuel pump. theres lil modification needed since you have to attach a small hose from one side of the pump to another, but that was all.

So maybe I should have them pressure pump the fuel tank to make sure its right?

*found out my mechanic oreder a afermarket fuel pomp, that wasnt holding the pressure. The pressure would just die instanlly when the car was off. So all in all he order the oem and ill pay the difference*

My Z started this s*** about a 2 weeks ago. My Z is a 2005, stock and has only 17k miles. I bought it used from someone who rarely drove it as it looks brand new. I thought the weak crank up had to do with me parking at an incline but that has no effect on it. The car only has weak crank ups after the car has been off for about 8 hours since it only happens in the morning before work, or if I stay late at work. When I'm out it starts up fine.

I'm guessing my fuel pump blows?

Most likely that's the case with yours, the way I'm currently getting around this is having the fuel pump, "pump" a couple times, usually 1- 2 times before starting what you do is you turn the key to the on position and you'll hear the fuel pump suck the gas to the injectors. You'll then go back to "off" and then turn it all the way to start. usually I set it to "on then back to off 2 times then crank it, it starts up every time. This is what I get for getting a high modded Z, but at least it has the intake and Borla exhaust with high flow cats and headers I wanted, just it having its fuel system modded is a annoy, but not at all a big deal. See if this lil "pump" trick works.
