possible valve train sound
so we bought a 03 350z for a insane cheap price about 3500 because of the engine being hydro locked in cylinder number 1 it had bent a valve. so we bought it and brought it back and had both heads redone new valve stem seals and resurfacing and had the valve lash redone. though now that we got the heads back onto the car we hear a tapping sound. it will tap when you cut the car on and get louder and louder as the rpms go up. we had heard the tapping sound before. before we sent the heads to the machine shop we replaced the bent valve with one from a head we got from the junk yard. thats when we heard the tapping sound first. so know that we have the heads redone im wondering if something is broken or if my rod is bent. doesnt really sound like a knocking. though when the engine runs i pull the connector to the cylinder depriving it from spark the sound lessens. i cant find the origin of the sound with my automotive stethoscope. could something in my valve train be broken????????
