Can't find a way to open my Hatch..

Hello everyone,
The hatch of my Z won't open, I beleive the lock is broken and won't unlock. I cannot open it with the remote, or thru the button above the license plate. I am also missing the emergency pull string on the inside. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can open it?

Welcome- it sounds like you'll be taking it to a dealer to keep damage to a minimum.

Do you hear the latch mechanism when you push the button?

BlackWidow88 11-21-2014 05:44 AM

Well Ill check and see if it's hidden in there..

And yes I do hear it but nothing happens..

use one hand to continuously lift on the hatch while you press the button on either the remote or up above the license plate.

The new GT-R's are in the stealerships already, problem solved.

Excellent point- if the OP's hatch springs/struts are worn, they'll need an assist to lift the hatch. Using your fingers to lift while the latch releases might be a BIG help.

Okay I'll try that out and see if it works
