2005 convertible top won't lock
sorry if this is in the wrong section.. also im sure it has been addressed but i have been reading various threads for hours and cannot find a definite answer for my problem.
convertible top will open albeit sluggishly (found out how to rebuild the motors) THANK YOU BLUEBADGE!!!!! when the 5th bow comes in contact with the "deck lid" or tonneau cover the lock does not pull the latch down. i have a 2" or so gap all the way around. i have found out how to manually close it, and apparently it is a PITA to open it again once manually closed. that still doesn't resolve the issue that it won't do it automatically. i have also performed a TSB addressing the "5th bow lock assy" and reset the "auto closure wire". as of right now the top is open since it isn't latched down tight. i am going to remove the 5th bow motor tomorrow and possibly the other 2 side motors and rebuild them. anyway thank you in advance for any tips/advice! |
Did you ever find a solution? My center latch wont lock down and i cant figure it out

There are a bunch of threads addressing convertible top issues on the Roadster forum.
https://my350z.com/forum/350z-roadster-124/ Here's one where I posted a TSB for the issue (see page 2): https://my350z.com/forum/350z-roadst...ompletely.html |
A lot late to the party, but did you ever find the issue?
Mine did the same thing and I found out it was just a broken spring in the tonneau cover's latching motor So I was searching for how to fix my convertible's latching problem, and all I can find on these forums was people pointing to the 5th Bow Motor. |
