AC Compressor for 2003 Z manf'd in 9/02
 

Hi guys,
I'm trying to replace the AC compressor in my 2003 Z, but I'm having trouble sourcing the part. I have ordered two off of rock auto, but neither matched up - I looked and found my car was actually manufactured in September 2002. I have the compressor out on my coffee table and the model numbers are:

92600-CD000
3K080 45010
02 012353

It looks like it a different part than the other 2003's. Ideally I'd like to get a refurbished one instead of going to the dealer or getting used. Anyone have this issue, or have any advice/input on this? Thanks!

Nissan actually shows that as a discontinued part. What's wrong with yours? Is it a bad seal or clutch? Maybe you can get it rebuilt?

I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with the compressor. I'd be OK to have it rebuilt somewhere, but I haven't been able to find a nearby shop with a reasonable solution (drop it off, test it, rebuild it, and then test it again). I looked to find rebuild kits but I don't see any. I could probably source the individual seals and parts myself but it seems like it would become one of those un-ending projects and then still might not work. I was just hoping to order one, bolt it in, and then go get it tested and charged. Maybe I should go to the dealer and let them sort it out. Any other suggestions?

How do you know anything is wrong with the compressor? Are you just throwing parts at a non-working a/c system? What is the problem?
