I never found out what it was but in curious on what it may be. Also my car makes a slight creeking noise when i turn corners going parking lot speed. If the only problem you're having with your 15-year old car is a slight creaking noise, then consider yourself lucky!

If you're going slow and the creaking is coming from your steering wheel when you're turning it hard, it could indicate a worn out clock spring. However, don't replace it until you've done a more thorough job of trying to diagnose exactly where the creaking sound is coming from.

It would help to know how many miles are on your car and any mods you've done to it.

Would the brake caliper cause the loud pot noise as well?

I have a popping/ crunching noise coming from the front right of my car. I changed my front lower ball joint and was not the problem. Turns out it was the front lower bushing. have that checked out

It can. Had it happen a couple times. Not saying that's definitely it. Just something to consider.. You live in a humid area, that's why I mentioned it. It typically happens in those conditions. However, this usually tends to happen when you don't drive the car on a regular basis.

Yea the loud pop hasnt happened in a few months and really only happened when i didnt drive it for like 2-3 days. Im thinkin maybe its the clock spring on the caliper. If it were the bushings would i hear noise when I am stopped?

Hmm.. OK. Seems less like a caliper at this point since left and right direction have no bearing on that part. Sounds more like suspension or steering components at this point. I would get the front end up in the air and start checking the wheels for play. Put your hands at 12 and 6(like on a clock, but on your wheel) and give it a good wobble, then do the same thing but with your hands at 3 and 9. Is there any play, or too much play. While you're down there, check your steering and suspension components for play and look for torn/cracked/damaged bushings on the right side. Use the left side as a reference to compare to. That creaking - Does it sound like it's outside the vehicle, or inside the vehicle?

I wouldn't dismiss the lower ball joint, like BluestreamDE said.
