Engine Heats up going up hill
Hi guys,
Today I was driving our 350z it super hot weather... we had the air con on full and noticed the car wanted to over heat when we went up a steep hill. We pulled over and let the car cool down... drove pretty hard for 20mins home with the air conditioning switched off.... as soon as we put it back on the heat gauge started to rise again... Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks |
Hey. Welcome.. The radiator fans are supposed to kick on when the AC is on full. Check and see if they are actually turning on.

Yes, never really found the problem , it just fixed itself on mine. Every time triggered by AC, even had it once shoot up quick, the ambient temp gauge shot up. Had it happen going up long hills a couple times , high ambient with AC on.

Awww, i must've hit a nerve

maybe check your fan fuse? i would flush my coolant with that yellow funnel attached to your radiator cap that way you can see all the air escape if there is any. I've never experienced a temperature spike with the ac on or off and it gets 100+ here in the summers
