Window's engine broken?

Hello there,

First of all, Idk if I'm in the right section of the Forum for these kind of post, I'm new here.

So my problem is that when I bring the window up with one clic on the button, it comes all up and then goes down to approx. the middle of the window... Is it like a window's engine problem? I read somewhere that I have to press a particular button and put the window at the right height manually to "set" the right height so that it stops doing that. Is it the only thing I need to do? And once it'll be done, will the window comes a little bit down when I open the door and then go up again when I close it like it's supposed to do? (the right window do it perfectly)

And one last thing, both of my windows aren't impervious (don't know if it's the right word). What can I do about that?

Thanks a lot for any answer that could help!

Joey

I think you're looking for the window motor reset. I had to do this when I refurbished my window motor.

If the window motors are original to the car, have a quick skim through this thread (in this forum's sticky section):

the window motor was the first thing to go on my Z. it started with the same description as yours. follow zak's link to find out how to replace the motor yourself. i personally think its a pain in the butt to open the doors so if your thinking of opening it up might as well get some replacement windows motors and replace them.
