350z power problem
So this is my first time posting in a forum cause I couldn’t find any details on my problem. I’ve got an 03 Nissan 350 Z Touring I recently blew out my throwout bearing and got it replaced. along with the bearing I got my whole clutch assembly replaced. I was testing out the new clutch and did a pull from 1st to 2nd when I threw my car into second the exhaust note changed, it deepend. It kinda sounds like my car was being choked and my car won’t rev past 4000 RPM I’ve been looking into it and every one says the maf has gone bad but i believe something in my exhaust has gone wrong I have no codes for a bad cat so I’m confused on what the problem could be. My car has a mitshimoto performance intake and a cat back straight pipe. If anyone knows about or had this issue i would like some insight. |
Did you do proper clutch break in ?

If the clutch is slipping, he will still be able to rev up past 4K RPM's. The problem will be high rev's without power going to the drivetrain (and of course, loss of acceleration).
