Window creak (video)

Hi,
I am experiencing this window creak but only when the weather is warm or when the car is parked on sun for a while.
As you can see from the video window drops when you open the door, but if you try and push it down a bit it goes further down. It's the same thing for passenger side. I cannot figure out if it's the lack of lubing or what. Windows go up and down normal - no squeaking or anything.

Thanks

doesn't look like the motor is auto adjusting down and when it auto adjusts up it is pushing into the weather stripping causing that creak from the pressure / over extended. Try running the reset procedure again and see if the levels of the auto adjust correct itself. Pending you haven't been in an accident that tweaked your regulator and the reset procedure doesn't work for you, get a new motor. The auto adjust feature is usually the first thing to start acting up when the motor is going out.

Auto adjusting windows mean taking door panel off?

yes, you'll need to get to the reset button that is on the motor, although you shouldn't have to remove the crash plate to get to it. The button should be accessible from one of the holes in the crash plate after removing a black cover / sticker.

-Remove door panel
-Replug in window controls to wire harness
-make sure window is rolled all the way up
-hold button on window motor and roll down window all the way (DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON, DO NOT USE AUTO DOWN FUNCTION)
-Release button on motor and roll window all the way back up (DO NOT USE AUTO UP FUNCTION)

Short video to assist

There is also a button within the door jam used to alert the window when to auto adjust up and down. If you press it in, the window should go up, when you release the button in the door jam the window should adjust down.

It sounds a little tricky at first, but removing the door panel is light work and the reset procedure is quick and easy. Having done it several times, it's nothing to remove the panel, reset the motor and reinstall the panel within 10 minutes. Good luck

I won't say "What a stupid way to reset the regulator, Nissan". I'll say "Nissan, thank God, you haven't put the reset switch inside intake manifold.".
Thanks. Will try this in the following days and report back.
