Car doen't start, crankshaft position problem, help please
Hello guys,
I really need your help, i have currently a situation that made me frustrated and it would mean the world if you could help me. It started about 8 months ago, a morning i wanted to go to work, i started the car and it did crank but not starting. I did crank it several times and it did start at the end. Lately i did had this issue more often, no check engine light nothing. The mechanic wanted to check the sensors , the car was running so that he could check what's wrong. As soon as he touched the crankshaft sensor the car stalled. He did take it off , and we found that the sensor was tinkered, you can see it in the picture, where the 10 mm bolt goes , it is misplaced , it should be in the center. I did buy new sensors. But when i put them, the car started for 3 seconds and stalled. I did try to start it again , it starts for 1 sec and stalls. When i checked the old sensor, the position it was is was not the correct one, the angle is different from the original one, but it still worked. When i put the new one as if the ecu was set on the wrong position as if it was right. I wanted to ask you, if there is by anychance a way to reprogramm the new ckp in the correct position? Or what can i do? Can you help me i really need some advices i am begining to lose my mind :/ https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....cb0ecad680.jpg |
Maybe a bad starter

The sensors are different from left and right, and I would use oem sensors

Definitely use OE sensors (or SMP Intermotor, which are literally OE). I'd do crank and cam as they're notoriously problematic.
Also, while you're in there, note the condition of the plug that goes to the sensors & replace them if there are exposed wires. |
