Question "clunk" sound from rear??

Hey guys, this is my first post I picked up my Z a few weeks ago...2004 SS Performance 6MT

I bought the car with 32 miles on it, so far i have a little over 600 miles on it now. At around 250-300 miles when ever i'd go over crappy/damages roads i wouild her a "clunk" sound coming from the rear....At first it would only it do it over a big bumps and i thought it was coming from the rear suspension...

Lately i've been hearing it more and it now does it over smaller bumps. I'm guessing it might even be the exhaust? I'm thinking its either somthing loose with a rear suspension component or the exhaust? I also avoid going over potholes and and driving over rough parts on the road....Any ideas? Thanks for any info.

Make sure your spare tire and jack are tight.

Could be your axle spline. Does it do it over bumps, or when you accel/decel? If hapens when you apply or take away power, welcome to the f'ed up axle spline club

I would check with the dealer, you are still under factory warranty... they should fix it for free if it the axle...

There is a recent TSB that could apply to yours. Have the dealer check it out.
