question for those who've had repeated alignments
 

for those of you who have had repeated alignments... when you go in for the re-realignment has your toe actually changed (fallen back out of alignment) from its last setting or are the mechanics just experimenting with a different toe setting?

i would think this is an important detail because if the problem is that the Z cannot hold its toe setting over time, then i would think a control arm allowing camber adjustments doesn't really address the issue.

Everytime I have had my alignment checked/set (6-8 times) the tech says it was within tolerance when it came in however he is setting it to the newest settings. He stated that the degree of toe out that it had should not wear the tires unevenly

if the toe isn't changing between visits though the feathering persists, then it seems unlikely toe is the problem. nissan can't be this ignorant about their cars, they must have known for awhile what the real problem is, but maybe they thought toe alignment *might* have worked as a relatively inexpensive stopgap/workaround measure. they were wrong, but maybe they'll introduce the real fix soon.

I also noticed that myself ,I have had a few alignments. I was obvious when I compare the printouts. The Z doesn't hold the alignment I have had that lower control arm put in and have got new tires. Told them to check for feathering said was OK maybe too soon to tell.
