Unhappy Low Tire Pressure warning Light

Low and behold I left work late today and it was a little cool outside (59 says gauge in car). Drove about 50 yards out of parking lot and the low tire pressure light comes up...starts to chime. Pull over at first chance...look at tires..they all look ok.Front tire pressure says 28 for both tires...slips my mind what the rear tire indicator said. Manual states the light comes on at 28 psi. I could swear it normaly says 32 for front and 34 for rear...not sure..and don't remember what the sticker says it should be. Not that it ever gets cold here in so-cal...but has anyone else seen this before I take it in...

As it gets cooler outside the air in the tires contracts and as you drive the air heats up and expands. The same thing happen to me. My tire pressure dropped to 29 psi. Even though the lowpsi warning did not come on the ride of the car was rough. I added air to 33 psi and when i drive it goes up to 36/37 psi. I believe the rated tire pressure is 36psi.

Cold tire pressure should be 35psi all around; label on inside of center armrest gives this info.

It's back at the dealer.. they are looking at it and the rattles that seem to come from everywhere. Service guy looked puzzled.. sure hope this isn't a recurring event when the temperature drops.

... now if I could only steal..er..aquire when they aren't looking.. the "things to do...places to go..porches to past" 350z sign they have sitting on the lot.

While I was driving home today (just now), the low tire pressure warning went off. It's the orange warning light accompanied with a 5~10 second beep. The pressure read 29psi all around. Weird.... I had 32psi all around this afternoon... maybe it's b/c it was sitting on the street and it was pretty cold up here??? i don't know. I put in some air... but the light is still on. Weird.

Questoin.

Does the tire pressure monitor just tell you when its low by way of an idot light, or does it give you the reading in psi in all four tires?

Yesterday morning mine came on too. It was freezing here, about 45 deg, and the readout showed 28psi. After driving to work, the pressure was at 30 or 31psi, and the warning went off.

My idiot light came on, and on my computer, it flashed a PSI warning on all of the different screens.

As delivered by Nissan, most folks have reported that the top number is right and the bottom is left. However, Nissan purposely did not label the display left or right to avoid liability issues if people rotate their tires right to left. Thus the display will still show the correct tire pressures, but top will be left. (Of course, you could have always pumped one side's tires up a couple of pounds and reviewed the display to answer your own question! )

I had the same problem w/ the sensor, just put it at 35psi, and the light will go off.
