dumb question..What's a GTP?
 

I know this may be a very stupid question. But in the videos part of this forum, I saw a race between a Maxima, a 350z, and a GTP. The camera was inside the GTP and it blew the other cars away. Does anybody have any pictures of a GTP? I wonna see what it looks like.

It a big kinda ugly sedan made by pontiac. Its actually a Grand Prix GTP. (which is the supercharged version) I drive one, its pretty cool, but its not a Z. I will be selling it soon, you interested???

Here is a photo. This was my previous commuter car. Sold it for something a little better at handling tight parking garages.

I have that video of the Z racing a GTP and a a Maxima,..it was off Honda-tech.com and the Z was owned by the GTP and it was a track model as well,.I was a little disapointed but he just barley beat the Maxima that had a I.E

damn i didn't know it's THAT fast...killed the 350 like nothing...:eek:

well stock they are mag tested at 6.5 and 14.5 I think. of course in real life their have been those that have done better. their real weakness is handling, I have driven one, many times, actually 2, (dad and sister own them). and they handle like a brick, and the biggest peeve is a turning radius that an 18wheeler would be ashamed of.

but as with any factory boosted car, a pulley and a chip and your gone. the chat on the video seems to indicate the GTP was running at around a 13.9quarter mile... youll notice that Zs HAVE done 13.7. what does this mean? not much, it just shows the Z driver got less than a 13.9, not exactly uncommon, its a drivers race.

That Civic is slow as BALLS:icon18: to have a Turbo kit,...should have smote that RSX,...
but the GTP/Maxima vid,..I don't know what to say,..but I'm gonna perfect my launch!! That is the key.....I tell ya right now,..I'm not gonna loose to a Maxima--(NO OFFENCE To MAX Drivers-boosted and Modded I'm sure the're Great!) but I've beaten some Luxuary Sedans like that in my modded 00'GSR oddles of times,...now I got a Z,..I'm gonna get the launch down Pat and @least hang better then that!!!!!

OT:Going to Fayetteville Sat,..have 2 friend's w/ S2000's(both 02's--fastest year and both guys only weight like damn 100lbs wet,.hahah) so I'm sure we'll race and They both got Digi's so we'll record I'm sure!
