I hear you.... march 20th i hit a moron who thought he could race really quickly to get across the street, and not stop at his stop sign, he was 16 years old had gotten his drivers license a week before, and insurance the DAY before..
I am still waiting to get my car back, something about how the airbag went off and that inturn did something to the seatbelt. and now they are replacing the seatbelt and that is on BACKORDER so i dont know when i'll get my baby back! I miss it so much, I almost lost it a minute after I hit him.
Good luck my friend, luckily the shop i took it to has made it back to brand new, out of the box. i've seen it, it looks godly as usual. here is a link to look at my thread.. posted pictures of what it looked like..... 13,000.00 worth of damage.

Now i am just angry! It has been 9 weeks yesterday, and the car is still is not finished. The autobody finished everything but they are still waiting for a fuel door actuator. This part is on back order and the "expected" shipping date is a week from now. The more that i think about it the more it pisses me off! A fuel door actuator is holding my car up. As soon as i have the before and after pictures i will post them.

Yes, I have seen the car and I can't tell the difference. It looks new and you cant tell that it was ever in a accident, also the all of the new parts that had to be painted all came out exactally the same as the others so i dont think anyone could tell. Hopefully it will still ride the same because they had to replace alot of parts in the suspension.

sorry about what happened
If I were you, try to get a new car. Seriously any car after an accident is never as good as the original. Your paint is not original, and your resale value probably took a nose dive as well. Maybe if there's a lawyer on this forum to give you better advice. You should totally seek compensation and any punitive damages, because it's not your fault. Very glad that you were not injuried, but don't be surprised if you find out that you start experiencing any muscle pains.
Best Regards.
Best Regards.
