So i got my wheels in today and they look really really sick. im currently running 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 in the rear, my goal was to switch all four over, but, because my front wheels are tucking a little bit with the eibach sportline spring drop, nobody will stretch the 225's that i know of and my other option is to move to a really low profile tire which nobody carries.. really kinda irritated with the way tonight turned out. not entirely sure what im going to do.. maybe wait for my stance coil overs? wanted them on though!

Got mine on but i need fender work, got the tires stretched and everything they look really really badass and i'd rather have the wheels on a Z than a mustang everyday of the week... i need to arch roll or pull out the edge of my fender slightly

well first they came in with a broken center cap (called and they sending one asap no charge)

then nobody wanted to put my tires on them because the 225 on the 9.5 inch width rim was going to be a stretch (convinced somebody to do it)

then i got them on and they rub on all four fenders
(pulled my front fenders using a heat gun a jack and a phonebook) which i dont recommend

Now the fronts are ok but the rear fenders need to be rolled and i know a guy with an eastman fender roller but hes out of town for the weekend..

so ive had some problems, basically in NH nobody likes to do anything but change oil and rotate tires so it's pretty hard to get anything accomplished here unless u do it yourself.

but ill have more pics soon i got it running and washed and everything looks soooo good and it breaks necks around here

Default 17x9 Mustang Cobra R type wheels

17x9 Mustang Cobra R type wheels: they're described as fitting 1994 to 2004 Mustangs. How would they fit on the 2005 350Z, standard brakes?

Dayam, I'm really behind the times! And here I thought I was ahead by knowing what the 2018 model cars were gonna look like and now I find I'm 976 years in arrears!

Holy gravedigger.. but they wont fit. Those wheels have super high offset, like +50 or so.

Default typo, spacers

MicV, you got me on the lack of proofreading.

GreyZ, so with a 10 mm or 12 mm spacer, the lug nuts wouldn't have enough thread to safely grip, correct?

Hahahaha...got a kick out of "2994 Mustang".

On your spacer question, if you use a bolt on spacer, they are countersunk deep enough to bolt them on and then you bolt your wheels to the spacer lugs. I don't advise slip-on spacers at anything beyond 5mm and even those I tried on my car and was a relative disaster waiting to happen because 5mm less stud grip is, to me, hazardous.

HOWEVER.... in order to get a good fit with 9" wheels, you need an effective offset down around +30 or lower, ideally in the +20 range; meaning that in order to do that, you'll need 30mm spacers. And that - well, my own prejudices on spacers shows here - isn't a good situation.

I say this as a form of disclaimer every time spacers come up: I hate spacers. BUT, I have been known to use them (like when I buy a set of used wheels that are "close" to being good but could use 10-15mm less offset to be perfect). But I draw the line at 20mm because there's a limit to how much offset you can take out before you start messing with scrub radius, killing steering response. And, you start shifting your wheel mass too far beyond what the suspension and bearing system was designed for and that negatively affects handling and wheel bearing longevity as well.

So, what I'd tell you is while the 'Stang wheels bolt up fine, the overall performance gain is negated, maybe even diminished using spacers to achieve the goal.

Better idea.... if you are looking for an inexpensive solution, consider a set of GT or Nismo wheels. If you don't like the double stagger, piece together a set of four FRONT wheels. Those are 18x9 +30. Not flush but no spacers either.

But honestly, there's so many wheels ranging from $120 reps to $1500 wheels that there's gotta be something else that'd suit you better!

Good luck.

Default 2011 bullitt wheels

The seller reports they're 18 x 8.5, +30 offset, oem 2011 bullitt wheels. With 245-40/18 front and 265-40/18 rear, is the diameter difference sufficient for the computer. Will they stick out too much?
