Re-installed Volks for a three month run (about how long it takes for me to get restless and play musical wheels )
Now having a hard decision to make... which car do I take out for some pre-dawn g-force therapy? It's come down to a "reach into the key bowl and drive whichever keys I pull out" decision. Heh heh.
After all that, I'll end up with the key to this one...
Freshly Optimum No-Rinsed!

Posted up my '03 in this thread a coupla days ago.
Niz found out, got jealous, and demanded equal time and coverage. Little prima donna...
Pre-dawn hill run - Santa Cruz mountains (as usual) above Los Gatos, CA
Funny, being the consummate tinkerer and possessing a "Hmmm, what if did this...?" attitude about my Z-cars, I constantly get the bug to do something to the Niz - despite my long range plan to leave it bone stock. But I drive it hard, put it through its paces every week and what does it go and do? It does it all well; removing any longings I have to do something to it!
Thankfully for my credit card.
But seriously, each time I drive it, it continues to remind me about exactly what it is and - in general - why it's a superior performer in many respects over my '03. But the '03 is still my baby... and no prima donna glamour queen that does it all so damm well is gonna make me forsake it.
I close this post with the pic below... specifically to all of you naysayers on the "CA Drought" thread.
It's real.
Lexington Reservoir off CA-17. Note that the water "should be" up to the tree line on the far shore and BOTH intake towers in the foreground are supposed to be under water.
Fehhhhh....
I define this pic as a depiction of "misery and hope" (dry reservoir with storm clouds coming up from SoCal). S'posed to rain but none yet.... psh.
Cheers,
Mic

Thanks! I actually extended the rear flares down to the bottom of the rocker. Also basically re-made the front bumper piece of the flare from scratch to work better with the body lines of the bumper. I've got a ton of pics of the process on my instagram, @350al and one day when I have some time I'll get around to doing a build thread here...
