Been working on this now that its up here and we're about at the point in auto electrics class where its time to design the electrical system. Theres some things in the works I cant post pictures of yet as far as gauges go. Today I'll be working more on stripping out the sound deadening and gutting the doors.

Thanks Mic! It's a tough process, for sure, but it's been a good 11 year run! I cut my teeth on car modifications with this car so there is a lot of sentimental value tied up in it, but at the end of the day I just wasn't driving it enough to justify keeping it (maybe 1000 miles in the past 3-4 years!). The buyer is a local guy who seems to have a good head on his shoulders which makes me feel better about letting it go.

There's really nothing special about this pic...
...however, I haven't driven the car in a week and I got in just to run to the hardware store and consciously thought - almost out loud - "Man, I like my other cars and stuff but there's just something satisfying and rewarding about getting into this car that was good when I bought it and now it's even more tailored to me."
Funny thing, there's nothing at all done to the interior to make it that comfy. It just IS.
Is it an irrational thing to fall in love with a car every time one gets into it? Laff....

Oh, and got a piece of mail from my kid with a note inside saying... "Hey dad, found this as I was going through one of the boxes in the garage at mom's.... thought you'd want this. Love, B."
I shed a tear at his thoughtfulness.
That sticker is 37 years old...
