Mic i fully know what you are saying. My z has been under a z1 cover for over a year now and i took off the cover for a day to do some rear subframe work and couldn't stop looking at it.
You guys are absolutely right; I see and drive mine often, but there are times when the car is sitting way out alone in a big parking lot and I'm checking it out with each step I take towards it haha! I'm like a little kid loving his favorite toy.

As a 350ZR owner I can tell you that a roadster with the top up is like a woman with a bra on. It's more fun when they're put away! Great-looking car!
So a year or two ago, I posted an almost identical post to this one. But bear with me as there's a bit of difference.
When California came out of the drought back then, I took a drive up to the local reservoir (Lexington) up the hill to see what was happening. At that time the reservoir had gone over 100% and the spillway was at full tilt. Since then, I'd watched it get lower and lower each time I took a drive over the hill to Santa Cruz side. But last night, heard it was at 94%. "Well then, that calls for a rain run!" (But not just for the reservoir, also to give my newest tahrs - a set of Toyo Proxes 1 (not "T1", just "1") - a little wet testing.)
This was the view all the way up the hill and back down to Lexington.
Weird lighting because at this moment it was dumping rain. (Why yes, I was getting soaked, thanks for asking. But I soldiered on so as to bring this little mini-tire-report to you all!! Noble of me, I know. Laff..... )
Or, as Mistuh Sparco points out, maybe I'm just a pic-ho. Whoohoo!
Above and below... still pouring. But ya, water's up for sure. (But only a little water was going over the spillway.)
But as I hung out drinking my coffee and taking many other non-car related shots, this appeared. Blue sky and a multi-colored arc.
All I needed to be able to put my pic into the "idyllic" category was a unicorn. Laff.
I'm sure I have a pic nearly identical (location, position, etc.) to this one somewhere out there.
By the time I finished my coffee, pics, and ready to head back down to "civilization", the sun made a welcome appearance.
OK, Z related... I didn't push the car/tires as the tires are still not fully broken in with only a couple hundred miles on them; and the rain was miserable for visibility. Would have been nasty to encounter a fallen tree from this latest huge storm that has wreaked havoc on the region. But ya, they seem OK in wet but not what I would call "great". No real slippage but for some 6th sense reason, I wasn't terribly confident; so no "real" testing. This is in comparison to several of my other rubbers where I pretty much felt comfortable with them immediately. I refer to the Bridgestone S04 PPs, Sumitomo HTR-Z3, Continental Extreme Contact, all of which felt very composed and virtually no difference in feel between wet and dry.
Looking at the tread pattern of these Toyos, I can sort of see why I was less than confident.
Seemingly large tread-to-void ratio (for a street tire) and H20 evacuation sipes are not fully extended, which MIGHT lead to pooling/hydroplaning. But that's NOT conclusive AT ALL because as I said up above, didn't push 'em and didn't actually experience any real slippage so, more testing in order.
Boy, I come up with the lamest excuses to get out in the 33. Hahaha.

Rear: 18 x 10.5 Offset 20mm 295 x 35 x 18 BF Goodrich KDW 2's
I have Tein Coilovers on all corners and SPC Camber kits front and rear.
I have tried different ride heights, different wheels, different spacers, and different alignment settings over the last 7 years. IMO what I have now works the best for me.
