Not so much "difficult" but more so scary. Nobody wants to just cut a pear sized hole in their hood. The only part that became challenging in the slope of the 350z hood is very steep compared to where the rods for the hood pins were mounted. So I actually had to bend the the rods to fit flush with my latches.

Other than that, just be VERY patient. Slowly increase the size of the hole and keep checking to make sure you don't make the hole too large.

After cleaning bird s**t off my '03 (the Niz and the Volvo are a rainy mess!)

Musical wheels...

And I beat the rain in getting the clean car back in the garage!!

===============

Sidenote off topic: Over on the swedespeed (Volvo) R-Forum, there's people lamenting the fact that "...now anyone including burger flippers can buy these 4th, 5th, 6th owner R-cars and don't have a clue what to do with them!!" (Their words, not mine!!)

But yeah, where have I heard similar divisive sentiments?

Cheers for a good weekend all... and you people on the East Coast, stay warm and be prepared!! (My best friend, when asked if he's prepared says, "Yeah, I bought half a case of wine and half a case of beer... so yeah, I be prepared."

Mic

Don't gloat too much G'mo.... It's the story of tradeoffs.... you take the chance of hurricanes in Florida (and Gulf states), blizzards/snow/freezing temps throughout the Mid-west and East Coast, you get YEARLY tornadoes in the center of the country, and you chance breaking a faultline here in California. Choose your poison.

Yeah, well, I've heard that before too many times from friends around the country but let's just talk about odds (or frequency) here...

Hurricanes, tornadoes, snow.... all ANNUAL occurances. Heck, there's even "tornado season" and "hurricane season".

Earthquake.... well, big ones are supposedly on a 50 year cycle. As in "once every fifty years". (Never mind the number of faultlines running underneath my Z's right now. )

Not to tempt fate or anything but.... I'll take my chances. Hahahahahaha!

OK, back on topic.....

Bird doody.

The birds in California are all vegetarian.

You should see what happens when I leave tofu out for them.

No no no, here in MY neck o'da woods, that red paint and that yellow water thingamabob mean "Mic's personal loading and car washing zone."

It's in the CA DMV Manual Addendum.

Or did you miss that post?

Oh hevvins no! That would be wrong.

I just open it periodically to water the bird dooky in front of the house.

Besides, c'mon, I use distilled water to wash my cars, don't you?!?

Times must be rough out there. I don't put anything but deionized water on my car
